FAVORITE FAVORITES!

This is my first and long-awaited (well I've been waiting a long time, anyway...) attempt at finally being able to "feature" artwork by some of my favorite artists - some of whom are just starting out and relatively undiscovered yet, and others who already have quite a following, and for good reason! And here they are, in no particular order (I sure hope this works!...):






Also, thank you, THANK YOU! is definitely in order to and for the subscription donations (something to do with not wanting to "rob Peter to pay Paul" or "rob Mo to pay Mo" or something like that - I'm always a little fuzzy when it comes to details...). Anyway, it was entirely unexpected, is totally appreciated, and still very fun to look at all the cool little charts and graphs and stuff that comes with a sub. Now I'm trying to figure out the part about personalizing it and adding a "features" section so I can pay back (or pay forward) the kindness that has been extended to me over the past year+ Stay tuned!

Okay, I officially could not stand looking at my own out-dated journal any longer - Sheesh! I tried to hold out awhile longer so as not to clog up all of your mailboxes, but enough is enough.

The unfortunate thing about it is that I really have nothing of consequence to say. I have a birthday coming up on Sunday, and while I've never been one to care about them, perhaps that's the underlying reason for the "blah" tonight. More likely it's just the bucket-load of stuff that I have on my plate these next several weeks, but at least I have a job, which is more than a lot of folks can say these days, so no more whining from me!

Thank you to all of you who have so kindly featured my work... Someday I hope to get a subscription so I can return the favor by featuring some of the awesome artwork I see here, too!

Just wanted to say "thanks" to everyone for the kind notes when I was feeling less-than-stellar last week - I really do appreciate all the support from so many of you!

I also just realized that I've been here on dA for 1 year today - I thought it was only since October last year, but that was when I finally posted my first submission to my own gallery. I look back to that one now and am very grateful to all of my "mentors" out there who have so kindly helped me to improve since then, little by little... and thanks for putting up with all my self-loathing throughout it all!

Here's to one year down, and many more to go!

No, not "sick and tired" like your mother used to say she was every ten minutes when you were driving her crazy... I'm really just feeling kinda sick and tired today. Might have to be away for a bit - just depends on when the drugs kick in ("Better living through pharmaceutacals." after all - lol!). I wonder if I mixed too many things together...

Anyway, I wanted to also put in a plug for the last few days of a contest I'm helping to judge, though I have been terribly remiss at advertising for it! (I get so wrapped up in "me" that everything else tends to fall by the wayside - alas!). I've never judged anything before, so I'm a little nervous, actually! So here it is, if anyone else is interested and has a last-minute adrenaline rush of creativity before March 30th:
