Just a quick note to wish everyone a safe and healthy holiday season and new year, and to let everyone know that I have been having serious computer "issues" lately both at work and at home, so I have been scarcer than usual for this time of the year I will hopefully be back up and running again soon, and I have NOT forgotten that I owe some of you manips - just can't get to them yet But I will, I will...

Also (for those interested) I wanted to give you the update on Chas (a.k.a =tytaniafairy): They admitted her to the hospital yesterday for some last minute tests before her surgery (which was scheduled for yesterday anyway). I have not heard anything as far as how things went, but she expected to be home and online again by Thursday - just in time for Christmas And her daughter's move has been bumped to January 5th, unfortunately, but I will let you all know if anything else changes between now and then

Hello, all!

Not much to report this week, so I wanted to at least leave you with some new Features to enjoy!

Oh, wait - I do have an update on =tytaniafairy's move! I got some updated information from her, and due to her current chemo treatments and an upcoming surgery this month, she will not be moving to Indiana in Jan/Feb like she had hoped...
But wait! Just in case you were wondering what she was gonna do with the $500 in moving expenses many of you donated to get her back with her daughter, fear not! Instead of her moving there, her daughter and her daughter's father are gonna be moving to Florida instead, to be there with Chas and support her during this time And better yet: as of right now, they will be moved there by the end of this month! Hooray!! So again: thank you to all who helped out with this. I know it isn't quite what I wanted to do for her originally, but it's not my life, so I certainly cannot fault Chas in any way - lol!

...I cannot believe I almost forgot to tell you that... Oh, and things will be kinda quiet from me this month as far as new artwork... Christmas is the busiest time of the year for me, and though I do have a few "irons in the fire," there may not be much until after the holidays.

NEWS FLASH: For those of you who know I am just passing along a message from her: Marina wanted me to let you all know that she has some personal business to attend to so she will be gone from DA for an indefinite period. Hopefully not too long, and it's nothing serious, so don't worry about her if you don't hear from her for awhile.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled journal...

Well, it's Thanksgiving this week here in the States, and I have a lot to be thankful for this year! For one thing, thanks to all of you who contributed and/or prayed for =tytaniafairy's little "moving crusade" of mine, she now has the full $500 she needed! It's all tucked safely away in a savings account until after she is done with these initial chemo treatments (which she just started this week) and some other procedures in December. So hopefully she will be moved sometime in January - I'll keep you all posted...

I'm also very thankful for all of you here who have supported me and my artwork again over this past year... your kind words of encoragement have been what keeps me coming back and trying to create new things (well, that and all the stamp requests, too - lol! But I love doing them...).

I will likely be rather scarce over the next several weeks, with holiday preparations and all that, so I ask you all to be patient with me as I will likely continue to fave-and-run, and slowly get all these cookies delivered to those of you that have faved my works!

For those of you who have been following my little crusade for she has posted a special "thank you" message in her Journal... go check it out if you are interested

The grand total as of today (with some still making it's way to her via snail mail...) is approximately $400 of the $500 originally needed - woohoo! Thank you all SO much! We are close enough now that I think I can cover the rest of it, but just in case anyone else still wants to help out, you can either send whatever yo want to through the mail (...I wouldn't recommend more than a single dollar or two if it's cash...) to:

As many of you know, Chas never in a million years ever expected this to even be a possibility, so without YOUR generosity (and some meddling on my part and that of *Roxanne74...) this would NOT have been possible! We WILL get her moved back with her daughter!

And, as I mentioned previously, trying to get her to move by Christmas was really MY idea... would loved to have seen her reunited with her daughter by then, but alas, apparently it isn't meant to be - at least, not that quick. Chas has some doctor's appointments and treatments already scheduled for mid December, as well as a surgery, I think, so it looks like January might be the soonest she can get there But, considering that she didn't think she would EVER have the money to move, January is a whole lot sooner than NEVER, so it'll have to do

I also wanted to share something else with you today. As many of you also know, I send out cookies for 's here, and occasionally get some very surprised responses back from people who were just really caught off guard by the unexpected sugar in their inbox But this time I was actually the one surprised by the response I got back from ~scottsummers after delivering a cookie to his account: a poem!

Wandering and siteseeing

Well, the cynic in me has finally won out. Apparently PayPay has changed their minds and decided that Chasity simply MUST be running some sort of a scam, because people in the world today just COULDN'T honestly want to help other people! They have told her now that if I don't ALSO remove her email address from MY journal, they will not only close her account but also take legal action against her! I will post a copy of their actual response later...

I am SO ticked off!!!!!!!

So PLEASE - any of you who also have her plight in your Journals, PLEASE remove her email address right away! I'll just send her the rest of the money she needed to get moved somehow. What a mess I have caused!

Thank you ALL for trying so hard to help with this cause, though! If nothing else, this experience has restored my faith in INDIVIDUAL people. It has also reinforced my belief that big corporations SUCK, and care nothing about anyone but themselves and the almighty dollar.

And PLEASE don't anyone even try to send ME money through Paypal either, because they will undoubtedly be watching any of us that have participated, and will just hassle US next.

By the way - if anyone from PayPal/eBay happens to be reading this, I have decided NOT to bother listing all the stuff I was going to sell on eBay to raise the rest of the cash for Chasity. Not that ebay CARES about my business, but I am not going to put a few more dollars in their pockest, when they were too selfish to allow us to do the same for someone who actually NEEDS it...
